Jamie Carragher felt Wolves full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri was lucky not to be shown a red card as his side lost 1-0 to Manchester City.
The incident occurred after Kevin De Bruyne had put City ahead in the first half and Wolves attempted to get back into the game. Ait-Nouri attempted to dribble past Bernardo Silva but his effort

“I think he’s got a problem. It looks terrible on slow-motion, even though it’s just a dribble but it’s not good. I think he should get a red card.” Carragher added
after the review: “It was quite a distance off the ball, although the slow-motion makes it look worse. But looking at the real speed, it still looks strong.”
However, in the end, VAR saw that it was not a serious foul to be given a red card and allowed Ait-Nouri to continue playing.
Carragher immediately said, “You got away with it, you’re really lucky,” because he was quite surprised by the decision.
As for Bernardo, he continued to play until the end of the game, helping Man City win an important victory in the race for a Champions League spot. They have now moved up to 3rd place in the table, just 3 points behind second-placed Arsenal, despite having played one more match.
